Rules of Minesweeper Race
Minesweeper Race uses the classic deduction rules on a shared daily field. Open every safe square without striking a mine, and use the timer to improve your result.
The objective
Open every safe square without opening a mine.
01 · Minesweeper Race
Race the shared daily field.
Daily Race is a 20 × 20 field with 60 mines. Everyone receives the same board for the day, and your first opened square is always made safe.
02 · Minesweeper Race
Open a square to reveal its clue.
A number reports how many mines occupy the eight neighboring squares, including diagonals. A blank safe square opens its connected blank area and boundary clues.
03 · Minesweeper Race
Flag squares that must contain mines.
Use Flag mode, right-click, or the F key to mark a suspected mine. Flags help organize deductions but do not make an incorrect square safe.
04 · Minesweeper Race
Use complete neighborhoods to deduce moves.
If a clue already touches its full number of flags, its other closed neighbors are safe. If its closed and flagged neighbors together equal the clue, every remaining closed neighbor is a mine.
05 · Minesweeper Race
Clear the field without a strike.
Opening a mine ends that attempt. You win as soon as every non-mine square is open; the game records the time and streak for the selected daily board.
Quick reference
Four rules to remember
- 01 Read the number It counts mines in all eight neighboring squares.
- 02 Flag deductions Mark squares that the clues prove contain mines.
- 03 Open proven safety Clear neighbors after a clue has all of its mines flagged.
- 04 Avoid guesses Combine overlapping clue neighborhoods before taking a risk.
