This is LarkSpark’s current public policy for this site. It is written for players, not as personalized legal advice.

What we collect

Guests can play without an email. When you create an account we collect your email, password, date of birth (to confirm you are 13 or older), a public handle, and optional display name and avatar. Gameplay records, room participation, daily results, and settings tied to that player may be stored so the games work.

How we use it

We use this information to run the games, keep you signed in, send verification and password-reset mail, reply to contact messages, publish eligible public handles on leaderboards, and keep the site secure. We do not sell personal information.

Public names

Your display name is shown to other players in rooms and at tables. Your public handle is the name that can appear on public daily boards after the account is verified and eligible. Guests stay on private previews until they claim an account.

Mail and contact

Account mail is sent to the address you provide. Contact-form messages are delivered to LarkSpark’s private inbox and are not published on the site. We use your contact email only to reply.

Retention and closing an account

Unplayed guest identities are removed after 30 days of inactivity; active guests expire after the longer guest-retention window. Referenced guests are anonymized so retained game or safety records keep their integrity. Closing an account deletes credentials and personal profile fields, clears device sessions, anonymizes the player, and removes the account from public boards. Authoritative scores, match history, consent timestamps, and security or moderation records may remain under pseudonymous IDs for game integrity, safety, support, or legal obligations.

Deletion applies immediately to the live service. Encrypted backups age out on the production backup schedule rather than being selectively rewritten, and a restored backup must have later deletions reapplied before it serves traffic. Launch rooms do not store persistent chat. See also Cookies.
